Star chart

Happy Winter Solstice! To all of us in the Southern Hemisphere and happy summer solstice to all those in the northern hemisphere.

As it is the winter solstice here now I'm doing a (slightly) winter solstice themed activity, although it can be done any day.

To celebrate the shortest day and the longest night I am turning my trampoline into a star chart, and trying to match the stars in the sky to those on the trampoline.

For something extra make your own personal constellations. What pictures and stories can you see in the stars?
